Glass blowing: explored glass processes, solid objects and elements, hot additions (bit work), color application, hallow forms (the blowpipe), surface treatments, cold work, assisting at the bench.
Glass casting: casting and mold use, exploration or sculpture and design, kiln-fired glass,
Jewellery and Metals: basic small-scale metal working and jewellery skills, understanding of material characteristics, torch use, texture options
Painting: developed understanding of the formal elements of the two dimensional picture plane, basic materials and processes, understanding of three-dimensional space when working from life and photographic references.
Photography: digital processing and digital black and white archival photographic printing, understanding of camera mechanics, exposure and color balance, scanning film, calculating resolution, color spaces, conversion to grayscale and duotone.
Sculpting: familiar with various concepts, issues and terms relevant to the analysis and critical discussion of sculpture. |
